The Artist Studios
This is a modular system of studios to support visual arts in Ireland. Working for MART studios, we developed a series of pre-fabricated, repeatable, stackable and flexible pods that can be rapidly rolled out within existing unused warehouses to make spaces for the arts; Guerilla Studios to provide affordable work space for artists.
The pods are arranged in neighbourly clusters of 4, where artists can engage in individual practice separately, or open the pods around common courtyards for collective practice, exhibition and performance.
Each cluster of pods can be repeated to make a dense internal city of streets and courtyards, limited only by the size of the host building.
